Rajesh Kishore assumes charge as the next Secretary General of National Human Rights Commission.

NEW DELHI: Rajesh Kishore, a 1980-batch IAS officer of Gujarat cadre, today assumed the charge of Secretary General of the National Human Rights Commission.

Prior to his appointment to the NHRC, he was holding the post of Additional Chief Secretary (Health) in Gujarat Government, officials said.

Kishore, who is from Bihar, has served in various capacities in different departments of the Union and State Governments.
