Rajasthan to set up VAT help centres

The Rajasthan government will set up help centres in the state to help people gain an understanding of VAT (value added tax) rules and procedures and to facilitate a smooth transition to the new tax regime.

JAIPUR: The Rajasthan government will set up help centres in the state to help people gain an understanding of VAT (value added tax) rules and procedures and to facilitate a smooth transition to the new tax regime.

The government would open the help centres at the CII office premises beginning June 23 and these would be functional every Friday, an official release said here.

The centres would address problems and doubts of industries, trading fraternity, its representatives on the current taxation scenario.

Sripal Choudhari, Chairman, CII Rajasthan state council said this centre will further strengthen bi-lateral relationship between government and industries and would bring in greater efficiency and competitiveness among industry.
