Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee president Sachin Pilot made the accusation while addressing a public meeting in Jhalawar, about 330 kms from here.
The RPCC chief also alleged that the Vasundhara Raje government had "insulted the mandate given by the people by not working in their interest".
The BJP government was "targetting Congress leaders and workers" and "implicating them in false cases" by misusing government machinery, Pilot alleged.
"Congress party will strongly oppose the wrong policies of the government and will expose it. The government weakened public welfare scheme initiated by the former government and ignored the interests of people and farmers," he said.
Pilot said that nearly 60 farmers committed suicide in the state due to "negligence" of the state government while other farmers whose crops were damaged due to bad monsoon were still looking for compensation.
"People of the state gave a strong mandate to BJP but unfortunately the government is not working in the interest of people. This is the insult of the mandate. Corruption has become rampant, inflation is skyrocketing," he further alleged.
