Rajasthan government misusing funds to woo voters: Rajnath Singh

Rajnath Singh today alleged the Cong govt in Rajasthan was "misusing" state coffers by announcing "projects without considering their feasibility.

JODHPUR: BJP president Rajnath Singh today alleged the Congress government in Rajasthan was "misusing" state coffers by announcing "projects without considering their feasibility or practicability" in a bid to woo voters ahead of December 1 Assembly elections.

Addressing a party rally in Osian, a Congress stronghold and the constituency of former Congress minister Mahipal Maderan, Singh said Congress was "in slumber for four years and has woken up ahead of elections" announcing freebies.

"The Congress in the state made the best misuse of the state exchequer and went on a spree of foundation stone-laying ceremonies of a number of projects without considering their feasibility or practicability," he told the rally.

The BJP chief called upon the people not to get carried away by false projections and vote in favour of the BJP for development and growth of the state. He appealed to the people to vote the party to power not only in the state, but also at the Centre.
