New Delhi: The two accused arrested later by Alwar Police for lynching Rakbar Khan had accompanied the police along with the victim to the police station and even to the hospital three hours later where he was declared dead.

Dharmendra Yadav and Paramjit, the two persons found waiting near Rakbar at the spot where he was beaten, were arrested later. An additional sub-inspector named Mohan Singh who picked Rakbar Khan from the spot has told his seniors that he was brought to the police station first at 1 AM on Friday night rather than hospital as police had to complete documentation, take Rakbar's statement and lodge an FIR. Still, when the police took him to hospital around 4 AM where he was declared dead, policemen told hospital authorities that he was "unidentified". ET has learnt that the two accused, Dharmendra Yadav and Paramjit, were present in the hospital too along with ASI Mohan Singh and three other cops.

The police have named these two persons and two more in their FIR for beating up Rakbar at the spot.

The local cow protection leader of the VHP, Naval Kishore Sharma who had first alerted the police has now alleged that police had beaten him up badly at the police station. "When Rakbar was picked from the spot, he was consious and fine and only complained of a injury in his foot. That is why polide did not take him to the hospital first. He narrated all details to the police at the police station. He has died of the beating he got from police," Naval Kishore claims. The police before bringing Rakbar to hospital had sent the two cows seized from him to a cow shelter.

The post-mortem report of Rakbar says he died of interal injuries and water accumalation in his lungs. A high-level probe has been marked by Rajasthan Police.
