NEEMRANA, RAJASTHAN: Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje today exhorted the industry to actively participate in the health and education sector for socio-economic development of the state.

Implementation of the public-private partnership (PPP) model will bring in the required expertise, she stressed.

"Participation of the private sector in health and education would help in bringing the best expertise," Raje said here while inaugurating a new manufacturing unit of Havells, an electrical product and appliance maker.

The Noida-based firm has invested Rs 100 crore in setting up the unit that will produce water-heating products.

Pitching for more investments, Raje said the Resurgent Rajasthan Summit, slated for November 19-20, would help attract investments to the state.

Listing out the potential pull factors, the Chief Minister said big-ticket infra projects such as Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor and Dedicated Freight Corridor pass through the state, and Rajasthan will be home to 22 smart cities.

"This would help Rajasthan match the world standards," she added.

Pointing to the changed labour laws in the state, Raje said it would help create job opportunities for the youth.
