Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje on Friday asked companies to invest in the state and promised to provide necessary infrastructure facilities.
NEW DELHI: Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje on Friday asked companies to invest in the state and promised to provide necessary infrastructure facilities.
"Rajasthan is extending a whole new phase of development and the government is laying strong emphasis on the state's economy and putting it on high growth trajectory," she said at a FICCI function here while announcing 'Resurgent Rajasthan: Partnership Summit' to be organised in Jaipur later this year.
Laying emphasis on the growth experienced by the state in last 3-4 years, she said the environment was conducive for companies to invest in Rajasthan as it provides efficient infrastructure, power, roads, transport and human capital.
Responding to Raje's invitation, several companies said they were investing in the state. A DLF representative said the realty firm was investing Rs 3,500 crore for developing townships, retail space and other facilities.
An official of Fortis Healthcare said the company would invest over Rs 1,200 crore over the next 10 years in the state as it looks to ramp up operations.
The Rajasthan Government in association with FICCI will organise a two-day summit in Jaipur starting November 30 to focus on information technology, infrastructure, auto parts, manufacturing, education, tourism and healthcare. PTI
