Rajasthan: Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot announce they will contest 2023 Assembly elections united

Rajasthan Congress leaders Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot on Monday announced that they would be fighting the upcoming Assembly elections in the state as a united front.

"We have decided to fight elections unitedly. Both Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot have unanimously agreed with the proposal," Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal said after Congress chief Kharge and Rahul Gandhi held a four-hour long discussion with the Rajasthan leaders.

Venugopal also expressed his faith in the decision, reiterating that the party would emerge victorious in 2023. "Definitely, we will win the elections in Rajasthan," added Venugopal.


On the matter of the leadership disagreements within the Rajasthan Congress, the General Secretary said that both parties have left it up to the party to resolve the issue.

"Ashok Gehlot, Sachin Pilot have left it to Congress high command to take decision," Venugopal said.
