Raja not guilty: Kanimozhi
Kanimozhi on Monday said Raja has not been found guilty in connection with alleged irregularities in 2G spectrum allocation.
"I do not think Raja has been found guilty. He has resigned from the post because the DMK wants Parliament to function," Kanimozhi said.
The DMK MP said it was for the party leadership to decide on Raja's successor.
"That is for the party leaders to decide. They will make a decision," she said when asked whether the next Telecom Minister would be from the DMK.
"I do not know about it," was her reply to a query on whether she would be the next Telecom Minister.
Raja has submitted his resignation as Telecom Minister to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh late last night in the wake of furor over alleged irregularities in the 2G spectrum allocation which reportedly caused a Rs 1.76 lakh crore loss to the exchequer.
