NEW DELHI: Heavy rains continued to lash capital for the sixth day on Thursday, resulting in traffic snarls at various places across the city and causing inconvenience to the office-goers.

Several areas of the capital were lashed by overnight rains. The Weather office reported 24.7 mm of showers since Wednesday morning.

However, this did not bring down the minimum temperature which was recorded at 20.5 degree Celsius as against yesterday's 20.3 degree Celsius.

The maximum temperature was recorded at 25.2 degrees. Morning rush hour traffic continued to suffer as water logging in many areas brought down vehicular movement.

The Weathermen has predicted the maximum temperature to hover around 27 degree Celsius with partly cloudy sky and showers in some parts of the city.

The Weathermen attributed the showers to cyclonic turbulence over northern Rajasthan.
