"The points-man, Mohan Singh was injured in the collision and has been sent to an Agra hospital for treatment where his condition was stated to be stable," Bhupender Dhillon, PRO, DRM North Central Railway Agra said.

The incident occurred at around 1 PM, when the goods train which was approaching the junction derailed and hit the stationary goods train, she said.

"The on-duty Yard Master OD Kaushik, who was prima facie found guilty, has been suspended," she added.

Owing to blocked traffic due to the derailment, the Alwar bound passenger from Mathura and Mathura-Bharatpur passenger could not move for their onward journey.

"Work was going on war footings for normalising the track," Dhillon said.
