HYDERABAD: Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi is likely to visit the Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh by the month-end to console families of farmers who committed " suicide" or "migrated" to other places in search of livelihood, the party's state unit said today.

Gandhi may visit Anantapur district by the end of this month to console some of the families of farmers who committed "suicide" or "migrated" to other areas in search of livelihood, Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) said in a release here.

The 44-year-old Congress leader undertook padayatra (foot march) in Adilabad district of Telangana in May to highlight the plight of farmers in the TRS-ruled state.
