Rahul justifies JNU president’s speech
Rahul Gandhi said that those who differ from the RSS ideology are branded anti-nationals. “Despite oil $30 a barrel, commodities prices are yet to come,” said Gandhi.

Addressing party workers in Titabor in Upper Assam, Gandhi said, “A Dalit youth in Hyderabad who used to speak his mind had died. The ministry asked for his transfer following which he committed suicide.”
Gandhi also referred to the JNU incident, saying the president of the students union gave a good speech. “He was talking of the poor, Adivasis and Dalits. But BJP branded him a traitor, an anti-national. You differ from the RSS ideology, and this is what happens to you.”
The Congress vice president asserted that he doesn’t need licence from the RSS to prove his nationalism, adding that the youth of the country will come out in protest if one tried to stifle their voice.
He also said Prime Minister Narendra Modi made several speeches during the Bihar elections and people listened to him. “However, after the defeat, Modi is yet to visit the state.”
He also reminded that after the defeat in Assam polls, scheduled for April this year, Modi will not visit the state till 2019. The situation will be the same in Punjab and Uttra Pradesh, he said.
“Despite oil prices at $30 a barrel, commodities prices are yet to come,” said Gandhi.
