BJP on Sunday said that Congress rally against price rise was another attempt to relaunch Rahul Gandhi, terming his speech “immature”.

Taking a jibe at Gandhi’s slip of tongue, BJP spokesman Sambit Patra said he doesn’t know whether flour was solid or liquid. Speaking at the Congress’ ‘Mehangai Par Halla Bol’ rally at Ramlila Maidan here, Gandhi said flour which was earlier “Rs 22 per litre is now Rs 40 per litre”. He immediately corrected it to kilogram.

In his speech, Gandhi alleged that there was pressure on institutions like the media and judiciary. Patra termed his remarks “contempt of court” and “abysmally low”.

“From this high table of BJP, we would like to appeal to your lordship that this is contempt of court,” Patra said.
