Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi making vote theft claim is indirectly supporting Special intensive Revision (SIR).

Talking to media persons on Thursday Sarma said, "Rahul Gandhi has given certificate that SIR should be done, unique name should be there and with name Aadhaar number should be there." He added, "Rahul has taken out the name of northern Indians. But you see here in Assam, especially the Bangladeshis or those who came from Bangladesh once upon a time... the Miya Muslim brothers, their names are there in electoral rolls in Barpeta, Guwahati and even in Kerala," said the Assam chief minister.
