Rahul Gandhi to PM: Why are farmers angry if ‘laws are good’?

New Delhi: Congress’ Rahul Gandhi has alleged that the contentious farm laws were designed to help “2-3 friends” of PM Modi and asked why farmers were angry and agitating if the laws were good for them, as the PM had claimed.

Participating in Congress’ ‘Speak Up For Farmers’ online campaign on Monday, Gandhi said: “Modi ji says these three laws are in the interest of farmers. If so, why are these farmers so angry and not happy? The fact is these laws are meant for 2-3 friends of Narendra Modi. These laws are designed to steal from farmers.”
