Rahul Gandhi to meet state leaders next week

The interaction comes after Gandhi’s three-day consultation with AICC office-bearers after becoming the Congress vicepresident. He is also understood to be keen on having such discussions from block to state level.

NEW DELHI: After a brainstorming session with the Congress leadership, Congress V-P Rahul Gandhi will hold consultations with the party’s state unit presidents and legislative party leaders on February 15. “He will meet the Pradesh Congress presidents and Congress Legislature Party leaders here on February 15,” Congress general secretary Janardan Dwivedi said on Thursday.

The interaction comes after Gandhi’s three-day consultation with AICC office-bearers after becoming the Congress vicepresident. He is also understood to be keen on having such discussions from block to state level.

Congress faces a tough challenge in UP, Bihar, Gujarat, MP, Punjab, West Bengal and TN, where it’s out of power. It leads a coalition government in Maharashtra and Kerala, is part of the Omar Abdullah government in J&K and is in power in Rajasthan, Delhi, Haryana and AP.
