Rahul Gandhi to address rally in Vasundhara Raje’s home turf Jhalawar
He will also interact with people in a roadshow in Kota followed by a rally in Sikar on October 25. This will be Rahul’s second visit to the state within this month, his fourth since August.

“Rahulji’s is getting overwhelming response in the state. People are coming in hordes to listen to him. We want to keep up the momentum. His visits are a big booster for the party,” said state Congress chief Sachin Pilot. Rahul’s visit is significant for Congress’ prospect in this region where the party couldn’t even open its account in 2013 elections.
“There are 11 assembly segments spread across Kota (7) and Jhalawar(4). Congress suffered crushing defeat. Rahul Gandhi’s visit will definitely help the party revive its fortune,” said a senior Congress functionary.
Rahul Gandhi, who has been giving prominence to farmers in all his speeches, is likely to attack BJP on farm front. There have been reports of large-scale farm distress and crop damage in this region. “In Kota region, more than 100 farmers committed suicides due to farm debts and low garlic prices. Farmers are yet to receive any compensation for the damage of crops like urad, soyabean and moong due to excess rains. Farmers have now made up their minds to turn the table on the ruling party,” said Pilot.
Rahul Gandhi will also address a rally in Sikar on October 5. Here also, farmers’ agitation has become a major poll issue. For the last one year, farmers have been agitating vigorously in this region demanding higher MSP prices and proper procurement of their produce by government agencies.
