NEW DELHI: BJP refuted Congress chief Rahul Gandhi’s allegations on demonetisation and Rafale deal, emphasising that he had been ‘parroting false charges’ for the last two years without substance.

“Rahul Gandhi thinks his career will take off on the Rafale jet but sorry this will not happen,” BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra said, adding that though the Congress chief was an aspirant for the PM’s post, his allegations lacked seriousness. He alleged that Gandhi had given seven different prices for Rafale planes while levelling charges against the NDA government. Patra maintained that the UPA government “did nothing for 10 years even as the squadron strength of the Indian Air Force was depleting”.

He alleged that it was the Congress which was mired in corruption and that “A-Z of graft” is associated with it.
