Rahul Gandhi tests positive for COVID-19 with mild symptoms

Rahul Gandhi has tested positive for Covid-19. In a tweet, the former Congress President requested all those who have come in contact with him recently to follow safety protocol.

This comes after another senior Congress leader and former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh also tested positive for Covid-19. He has been undergoing treatment in AIIMS.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi wished Rahul Gandhi a speedy recovery from coronavirus.

India reported 2,59,170 new COVID-19 infections and 1,761 deaths in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said on Tuesday. This has taken the total number of positive cases in the country to 1,53,21,089.
