DEORIA(UP): Condemning raising of anti- national slogans at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Union Minister Kalraj Mishra today said Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi should take a stand against them.

"Centre will take stern legal action against those involved anti-national activities. Rahul Gandhi should stand against those raising anti-national slogans," Mishra told reporters.

Mishra, who represents Deoria in the Lok Sabha, spoke about the work done in the constituency. He said financial help of Rs 2.6 crore was given for treatment of poor patients and to ensure LPG connection to 25 thousand families on priority.

He said under Rajiv Gandhi Rural Electrification Scheme Rs 93 crore has been sanctioned for Kushinagar and Rs 103 crore for Deoria district.

"It will help in providing electricity to a majority of villages in these districts," he added.
