Rahul Gandhi not taken to important flood affected pockets: Kovai Selvaraj
COIMBATORE: Former Tamil Nadu unit Sevadal president and former MLA, Kovai Selvaraj today accused TNCC president EVKS Elangovan with taking Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi only to some select flood affected areas, as a result of which he was unable to assess the real damage.

Speaking to reporters here, he allged that Elangovan had not consulted senior party leaders or MLAs and had on his own selected the areas for Rahul's visit.

There would have been more positive impact if the right pockets were selected for the visits, he said.

There was no necessity to distribute relief measures by political parties, as each would take political mileage out of it, he said adding that announcements by Chief Minister Jayalalithaa would definitely reach the affected without fail.
