Rahul Gandhi likely to visit Telangana in August

HYDERABAD: Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi is likely to visit Telangana later this month, state Congress President N Uttam Kumar Reddy said here today.

Gandhi, who undertook a 'padayatra' in Telangana in May this year, is likely to tour the state on August 21 and 22, he said, adding that details would be announced later.

A group of students' leaders from the Osmania University here met Reddy and discussed holding a public meeting with the Amethi MP in the premises of the institution, a party release said.

Gandhi, who has been visiting various states raising farmers' issues, had visited Andhra Pradesh last month.
