Rahul Gandhi gets crowd cheering over demonetisation

SHAMLI: Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi used a popular catch phrase of an advertisement to slam Prime Minister Narendra Modi on demonetisation at an election rally in Shamli on Monday and emphasised that the move had caused hardships for the common people and farmers while the rich managed to turn their black money into white. “Wherever Modi goes, he makes excuses. He said while Modi’s ‘friends in the media’ hailed the decision, the rest of the world and noted economists had criticised the move. “The rest of the world and reputed economists are wondering what illness befell him that he took this decision.
