Rahul Gandhi gets bengal bosses prepared for civic polls

KOLKATA: Congress VP Rahul Gandhi on Monday asked state party leaders to prepare a vision paper for next year’s civic elections. Gandhi held a meeting with state party leaders, including Abdul Mannan, in New Delhi and discussed the next year’s civic polls and 2016 assembly elections.

It is learnt that Gandhi praised Mannan for his PIL that led to SC ordering a CBI probe into the Saradha chit fund scam. Mannan may file another PIL in SC on Tuesday against Trinamool Congress activists disturbing court proceedings against Madan Mitra.
