Rahul Gandhi disqualification: No immediate by-poll in Wayanad; EC to keep close eye on legal tussle
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was disqualified from Lok Sabha on Friday, a day after a Surat court convicted him in a 2019 criminal defamation case. The Lok Sabha Secretariat notified that Gandhi's disqualification was effective from March 23, the day of his conviction.
