Rahul Gandhi changed stand after backlash: Rajesh Kunte
MUMBAI: “He is trying to be a hero, but one way or the other he will suffer embarrassment,” says Rajesh Kunte, petitioner in the defamation case against Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi.

Reacting to Gandhi’s assertion that he would like to fight the case, the secretary of the Bhiwandi unit of RSS said that he was looking to face Gandhi in courts.

“It is nice to know that Rahul will fight the case and he won’t take the case back. But I am wondering why he is saying this after two years after he tried to quash the case against him.”

Kunte alleged that the Congress vice-president changed his stance and decided to fight the case following ridicule after his submission to the Supreme Court that he did not accuse the entire RSS but only a few that worked in the organisation for being involved in killing Gandhi.

“He suffered a backlash as people laughed at him, now he has decided to go all out because he wants to be a hero. All I know is that one way or the other he would face embarrassment, he will have to say sorry or he would have to face punishment or jail. Even one day’s punishment is good enough for me,” said Kunte.
