Rahul Gandhi calls PCC chiefs’ meet over MGNREGA
NEW DELHI: Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi will preside over a meeting of PCC presidents and AICC general secretaries on Friday in which an action-plan will be framed up for a nation-wide campaign against the Modi regime and BJP over the alleged “fault implementation of MGNREGA programme”, the “targeting of the Dalits” and “dilution” of the Forests Rights act by “compromising” the interest of tribals.

These agitations, party sources said, will be done with the same scale with which Gandhi-led Congress took up the issue “dilution of ” land acquisition Bill both on the streets and inside parliament.

ET had reported on February 2 that the Congress is planning to prop up a five-point plan — with the other two being “the issue federalism” in the wake of imposition of President’s rule in Arunchal Pradesh and for “net neutrality” that appeals to start ups entrepreneurs and youth in particular — as a major planks ahead of the Budget session of Parliament and upcoming state polls with an additional aim of rallying larger Opposition unity against the NDA regime.
