Rahul Gandhi attends last ritual of former Congress MLA

AMETHI: Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi today paid floral tribute to deceased former MLA Ram Sewak on the occasion of the last ritual, at his ancestral home at Musafirkhana here, the family said.

Gandhi after arriving here on a day-long visit in his parliamentary constituency, met the bereaved family members of the deceased.

Senior Congress leader and a nine-time MLA from Jagdishpur, 94-year-old Ram died at his ancestral home after a prolonged illness on October 6. He was considered to be close to the Gandhi family.

At present, Ram's grandson Radheyshyam is sitting MLA from the same seat.

Later he left for Bazarshukul to pay respect to Late Kusum Lata Sriwatava wife of Suresh Sriwatava resident of Bewremau, Rustampur.

Suresh Sriwatava is the president of block unit of Congress of Bazarshukul.
