Rahul Gandhi asks PCC chiefs to counter threat to spirit of tolerance
NEW DELHI: Expressing concern over growing incidents of hate and intolerance, Rahul Gandhi has written to state Congress leaders to counter this threat.

In letters to PCC chiefs on the occasion of Dussehra, the Congress Vice President told them that the day represented the triumph of good over evil.

"The spirit of tolerance and respect for all is what makes our country special. Today, however, this spirit is under attack," he said, noting that as Congress workers it is their duty to counter this threat.

He, however, insisted that they should never forget the principle of non-violence.

"As we celebrate this auspicious day, I hope we can all take the pledge to fight intolerance with tolerance, violence with non-violence, and hatred with love. This after all is what it means to be a member of the Congress party," he added.
