AHMEDABAD: Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi as well as other national and local Congress leaders are all set to intensify their campaign in Gujarat. Spearheading the Congress campaign in Narendra Modi's home state, Rahul is slated to address three rallies on Saturday, starting from Amreli, to be followed by Botad and Devgadh Baria.

On the same day, other leaders would cover different parts of Gujarat. Sonia's political advisor Ahmed Patel would hold rallies in Banaskantha and Ankleshwar during the day, while Raj Babbar is scheduled to visit Jhagadia near Bharuch and the tribal belt of Dedia Pada on Saturday. On Sunday, Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) president Arjun Modhwadia would be at Mundra, in Kutch for public meetings.

Actress Neha Dhupia would campaign in the tribal belt of Bardoli. "She will also hold roadshows in Ahawa and Vansda in Dangs district. Film actress Ameesha Patel will do roadshows in Karjan and Ankleshwar on Sunday," GPCC spokesperson Manish Doshi said. Congress MP Jyotoraditya Scindia would campaign in Vadodara city and Chhota Udaipur on Sunday.

On Monday, actress Ameesha Patel would do a roadshow in Vadodara, while Neha Dhupia is scheduled to campaign in Valsad and Dharampur. "On Sunday morning, senior Congress leader Kapil Sibal will address the media here," Doshi said.
