Rahul attacks BJP-ruled MP, Chhattisgarh governments
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi attacked the BJP-ruled Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh governments, alleging they had failed to ensure development.

KATNI: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi today attacked the BJP-ruled Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh governments, alleging they had failed to ensure that the results of development schemes reach the tribals and poor.
On the third day of his Madhya Pradesh-Chhattisgarh tour, Gandhi while addressing a public rally in Khitauli village here said, "I saw two India during my tour. The tribals here told me that welfare projects like NREGA and other Central schemes have not reached them yet."
Alleging that the voice of the poor was unheard at the official level, Rahul said, "In one India of Delhi, Indore and Bhopal things are different while the other India is of tribals and poor which I visited. The voices of these people not even reach the officials," he said.
He quoted the example of a tribal complaining to him of the apathy meted out to him by the officials, who made him run from pillars to post for a BPL card.
He called on the large crowd of villagers and party workers to stand up for their rights.
"How long would you wait for education. How long will you wait for your rights. It is time to stand up and demand what is rightfully yours," he said.
Gandhi, who completed his two-day tour of Chhatisgarh today, entered Madhya Pradesh to visit Mandla. He held meetings with the villagers at Ramnagar and also visited villages of Houshangabad.
With his tour officially ending today, Gandhi, according to sources, is slated to proceed to the tribal district of Jhabua tomorrow.
As per the sources, Gandhi may also stay in a village of Jhabua, a Congress stronghold, before returning to Delhi on Monday.
