Raghubar Das to act tough against officials involved in illegal mining

Issuing the direction at a review meeting of law and order, Das called for immediate prevention of illegal mining and suspension and dismissal of any official or employee found guilty of the offence.

Giving stress to provide a clean, impartial and transparent administration through teamwork, Das asked the officials to discharge their duties fearless and honestly as the responsibility of the state's development was on them and solicited their suggestions to find solution to problems.
Jharkhand police chief Rajeev Kumar was among the officials present in the meeting.
Das also asked for providing security guards to someone only on the recommendation of the CID and appealed to the officials to voluntarily return their security guards due to shortage of personnel.
He told the police department to review and create new posts, the release said.
The chief minister also directed the police to ensure peace, crime-free environment in all the districts and tighten its intelligence network to curb crime.
