Raghav Chadha has a warning for AAP: 'Ghayal hoon isliye ghatak hoon'; Calls allegations by Kejriwal-led party 'false' and 'scripted’

Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha on Saturday strongly rejected allegations levelled against him by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), calling them “false” and part of a “coordinated attack”.

His response came after he was removed as the party’s deputy leader in the Rajya Sabha and replaced by Ashok Kumar Mittal.

Chadha Dismisses Walkout Claims as ‘Blatant Lie’

In a video statement, Chadha refuted claims that he failed to join opposition walkouts in Parliament, terming the allegation baseless.


He challenged critics to provide proof, pointing out that proceedings are recorded. “Bring out the CCTV footage and the truth will be clear,” he said.

Denies Refusing to Sign CEC Motion

Chadha also rejected accusations that he declined to sign a motion against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.

He said no party leader had asked him to sign it and noted that several other MPs had also not done so, questioning why he alone was being targeted.

‘I Raise Public Issues, Not Create Chaos’

Defending his parliamentary record, Chadha said his focus has always been on raising key public issues such as GST, income tax, air pollution, water concerns, healthcare, education, railway problems, menstrual health, unemployment and inflation.

“I did not go to Parliament to shout or create disruption. I went there to raise issues that matter to people,” he said.

Taking a strong stand, Chadha said he would expose “every lie” against him and ended his remarks with a striking line: “Ghayal hoon isliye ghatak hoon”, suggesting that the attack against him has only made him stronger and more determined.

AAP Leadership Change Sparks Political Debate

AAP recently informed the Rajya Sabha Secretariat about Chadha’s replacement as deputy leader, a move he described as part of a “scripted campaign”.

A Member of Parliament since April 2022, Chadha has often raised governance and public accountability issues, including women’s representation in local bodies.

The development has intensified political discussions within the party, with Chadha’s response signalling a possible escalation in the days ahead.
