Rafale deal is the reason BJP didn’t name Lokpal: Congress

NEW DELHI: Keeping up its attack on Modi government over Rafale deal, Congress said the government’s real intention for not appointing a Lokpal was now clear as the nation would have known the truth about the multicrore aircraft deal.

Congress launched a diatribe against PM Narendra Modi and questioned his silence and “avoiding” the issue while addressing BJP party workers in Bhopal on Tuesday. Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala said, “Whose Prime Minister is he? Is he Anil Ambani’s PM or the PM of our country?”

Congress spokesperson Kapil Sibal said, “Now we know why a Lokpal has not been appointed. Had a Lokpal been there we would have known the truth.”
