R K Pachauri case: Girl writes to PM Modi for sacking of ex-Teri chief
NEW DELHI: Distressed with the “hypocritical” conduct of the members of the Governing Council of TERI, the complainant in the sexual harassment case against TERI head RK Pachauri has written to PM seeking Pachauri’s removal from the organisation. In a letter, the 29-year-old research analyst has minced no words in expressing her “shock and distress” with the attitude of the Governing Council members which comprises of “who’s who of Corporate India”.

That Pachauri has only been “replaced” with Dr Ajay Mathur-who is yet to join TERI as its Director- and not removed, she has submitted that the decision to replace Pachauri “was only an attempt to put at rest the public outcry and media pressure. The complainant has also stated that one of the most “able” officers investigating her case, Inspector Ajay Negi has been transferred out. She has demanded that he be delegated back to her case.
