Question paper leak: CID arrests three more
BENGALURU: The Criminal Investigation Department on Wednesday arrested three more persons in connection with the II PU chemistry question paper leak. The arrested men include a junior engineer in Public Works Department, a realtor and a teacher at a private coaching centre.
CID deputy inspector general Sonia Narang said KS Ranganath (50), a junior engineer in PWD, Anil Kumar B (46) a realtor and Muralidhar KM (52) who runs a private coaching centre were taken into custody. It is believed that Ranganath procured the question paper for his son from Rudrappa and Kumaraswamy -who were arrested earlier -and distributed it to others. Anil, a resident of Ullalu in the city , obtained the paper for his son from prime accused Shivakumar. Apparently , Anil also allowed Shivakumar and others to use his house to copy the paper. Muralidhar of Jalahalli, who runs a coaching centre, wrote down answers for the leaked questions.

The question paper leak on March 21 came to light after nearly 1.74 lakh students had written the chemistry exam. A re-examination scheduled for March 31 was postponed following another leak. Finally , the re-exam went off smoothly on April 12.
