Buenos Aires: Under constant media chase, Italian businessman Ottavio Quattrocchi, grounded in Argentina on an Interpol red corner notice, has shifted from the Sheraton hotel here and moved to an undisclosed place.
Quattrocchi, who the CBI wants in India for trial in the Bofors kickbacks case, checked out of the hotel with his wife Maria Thursday night and his present whereabouts are not not known, hotel sources said.
Mediapersons, including some from Indian television channels, have been pursuing him in their bids to get interviews from Quattrocchi, who was holed up in Sheraton Buenos Aires and Convention Center ever since he was given bail by an Argentinian court on Feb 27 but ordered not not to leave the country.
He was detained in Iguazo international airport in Misiones province on Feb 7 on the basis of an Interpol red corder notice.
A two-member team of CBI officials has gone to Argentina in their bid to get him extradited to India. The Argentine government has already cleared papers submitted by New Delhi for his extradition to a court in El Dorado city in Misiones province.
