Puthiya Tamizhagam plea to Centre on release of convicts in Rajiv case
COIMBATORE: Puthiya Tamizhagam today asked the Centre to adopt a 'forget and forgive' attitude and pave way for the release of seven convicts in the Rajiv Gandhi Assassination case.

PT founder-president and MLA, K Krishnasamy blamed Tamil Nadu government for taking hasty steps on their release without consulting other political parties, which, he said, led to "confusion" on the issue.

He said Prime Minister Manmohan Singh should avoid meeting Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksa on March seven at Myanmar.

He claimed the DMK-alliance, in which PT is a partner, was very strong and sure to win all the 40 seats in Tamil Nadu in the Lok Sabha elections.
