In honour of former President A P J Abdul Kalam, Punjab Government postponed its annual state-level function to mark the martyrdom day of Shaheed Udham Singh.

CHANDIGARH: In wake of the seven-day state mourning observed nation-wide in honour of former President A P J Abdul Kalam, Punjab Government today postponed its annual state-level function to mark the martyrdom day of Shaheed Udham Singh.

The function was scheduled to be held on July 31.

A fresh date for the state-level function would be announced later even though Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal would pay homage to the great martyr at Sunam on the solemn occasion on July 31, an official release here.

Similarly, the other dignitaries would also pay homage to Shaheed Udham Singh at other places in the state on the same day.
