Punjab government to install information portals in 11 districts for SC citizens

CHANDIGARH: Punjab Government would soon install portals in 11 districts of the state to provide easy access to information on welfare programmes for the citizens belonging to the scheduled castes.

"The portal will be bilingual (English and Punjabi) and will provide comprehensive information to the SCs citizen on welfare schemes for them in the state," an official spokesman said here today.

These ' Information Kiosks' would be installed soon at Ludhiana, Amritsar, Jalandhar, Sangrur, Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur, Patiala, Muktsar, Moga, Bhagat Singh Nagar and Mansa districts of the state.
