Punjab Congress against property tax

CHANDIGARH: Punjab Congress today lashed out at the SAD-BJP regime in the state for imposing property tax, which it termed as unjustified.

Asking the state government not to levy property tax, newly appointed President of Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) Partap Singh Bajwa said the party would launch a sustained campaign against this decision.

"Congress will leave no stone unturned to oppose the unfair and cruel imposition of property tax on the people of the state. The SAD-BJP government will not be allowed to fill its empty coffers by burdening the people of Punjab with such a huge tax," Bajwa said in a release here.
