AMRITSAR: While addressing a gathering, Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today said that "maximum benefit of power" in the government was provided to the Majithia family.

Badal was speaking at the 108th annual Convocation of the historic Khalsa College when he pointed towards Satyajit Singh Majithia and said, "Majithia Sahib I have given you maximum as your son Bikram Majithia is a cabinet Minister in the Punjab government, your son-in-law Sukhbir Singh Badal is Deputy Chief minister in the Punjab government and your daughter Harsimrat Kaur Badal is a minister in the Centre".

Leaving the Majithia family stunned and surprised, Badal suddenly changed his address from being about quality of the education system to remarking on the Majithia family in the presence of students and state level SAD leadership.

He turned his face towards Satyajit Singh Majithia, who is is President of Khalsa College Governing Council, and began to address him.

Badal's remarks left everybody high and dry including the Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal, BJP Punjab Chief Kamal Sharma, State cabinet Minister Bikram Majithia besides state leadership.
