Pune blast toll rises to 10
PUNE: The death toll in the German Bakery blast which occurred in Pune on Saturday, has risen to 10. This follows 24-year old student Abhishek Saxena from Lucknow, succumbing to his injuries at the Inlaks and Budhrani Hospital here.

Investigations of the blast and the forensic reports revealed the use of ammonium nitrate, RDX, petroleum and hydrocarbon oil for the blast, Pune’s police commissioner, Satyapal Singh, told reporters. He declined to comment on local media reports about the police having detained a couple of people.

Mr Singh said, "The forensic report has confirmed the use of these products, ammonium nitrate, RDX, petroleum and hydrocarbon oil, in the blast although we are yet to ascertain the trigger mechanism used."

Regarding the reports of the CCTV footage from the hotel opposite the bakery, he said, "We have got important clues from the footage," without providing further details.
