Puducherry poll results: AINRC wins one seat; leads in 3

PUDUCHERRY: Ruling AINRC won the Kadirgamam constituency in the Assembly elections in the union territory.

N S J Jayabal alias Ayyanar defeated his nearest rival, independent S Ramesh by a margin of 3,802 votes.

Early trends showed the AINRC and Congress in a neck-and- neck race.

The All-India NR Congress was leading in three while Congress in four and an independent was head as per trends made available by the Election Commission.

Puducherry has 30 Assembly constituencies.
