Puducherry CM N.Rangasamy lays foundation for Rs 8.5 crore drinking water supply project
Chief Minister N Rangasamy today said the PWD would relieve the residents of various housing colonies soon of their difficulty in getting drinking water.

Laying the foundation of Rs 8.5 crore augmented drinking water supply scheme in neighbouring Reddiarpalayam Assembly constituency today, he said that PWD would construct a overhead tank to store 12 lakh litre of water in addition to a sump which would store eight litre water in Ellaipillaichavady, so that the residents of various housing colonies in the vicinity of the tank would get assured water supply in the next six months.
Rangasamy who later laid foundation of a Rs 1,177 crore road development work on the National Highways linking Ellaipillaichavady with Ariyur, a border village of Villupuram district of Tamilnadu, said that the fund for road development was provided by Union Highways and Surface Transport Ministry. The total distance between the two points is around 14 kms.
