Puducherry Assembly condoles deaths in earthquake hit Nepal

PUDUCHERRY: The Puducherry Assembly today condoled the deaths of a large number of people in earthquake hit Nepal and wished speedy recovery to those injured.

As soon as the House resumed the budget session, Speaker V Sabapathy made a reference to the tragedy in Nepal and the casualties in that country and in India following which all members observed a two minute silence.

The Speaker said the House condoled the deaths and also the casualties in West Bengal, Delhi, Punjab and some other States.

Sabapathy said the House also wished speedy recovery to all the injured.
