BENGALURU: The Criminal Investigation Department (CID), which is investigating the leakage of the II PU Chemistry question paper twice, questioned two police officials, including a DySP, in connection with the 2013 II PU exam during which the Biology paper was leaked.
Both the officers served in Tumkur, where the leak took place, at that time.

CID sources said Abdul Khadar, Dy.SP with the state's special investigating team and Circle Inspector Ravi Kumar, with Kyathasandra police station, were questioned on Tuesday. The team is investigating whether the officers failed to file strong a charge-sheet by intentionally omitting important evidence.

It was during investigations in the March 21 II PU chemistry question paper leak that the CID went back to the examinations of previous years. Although the Biology paper of 2013 was leaked, authorities went ahead with the examination without revealing it to the public, the investigators found out.

One of the persons questioned by the CID revealed that the same persons responsible for leaking this year's question paper was behind leaks in 2012 and 2013.
