A police officer today allegedly commited suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle outside the Sena Bhavan in Central Mumbai's Dadar area.

MUMBAI: A police officer today allegedly commited suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle outside the Sena Bhavan in Central Mumbai's Dadar area.
The 42-year-old sub-inspector identified as Pradip Mane shot himself at 1240 hrs police said.
Mane was attached to the nearby Shivaji Park police station.
This is the second case of suicide by a police official in the city in the last ten days. A police constable posted outside a nationalised bank in suburban Juhu had committed suicide by shooting himself recently.
