Prove charge or quit politics, Shriprakash Jaiswal tells Murli Manohar Joshi
KANPUR: Coal minister Shriprakash Jaiswal said he would quit politics if Murli Manohar Joshi, who is pitted against him in the Kanpur Lok Sabha constituency, is able to prove his alleged involvement in the coal block allocation scam.

Joshi on Friday has said in his maiden speech in Kanpur that he is contesting elections from a constituency of such people whose name have been involved in multicrore scams.

“These baseless remarks don’t make sense. A politician of his stature should speak with clarity and reference. He should make such statements with some back up else should quit politics,” Jaiswal, who is looking for a fourth win, told reporters on Saturday at a press meet in Kanpur.
